No. No reservation is needed for hiking tours. If you would like to join this tour, please arrive at the meeting location 15 minutes before the start time. Your tour guide will be wearing tan pants and a shirt with our Off-Road Jeep Adventures logo. If we need to cancel for some reason, e.g., bad weather, we will announce it the night before on social media: @azoffroadjeepadventures.

Does the McDowell Sonoran Preserve have an admission fee?

No. There is no admission fee. If you would like to donate to the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy, feel free to do so at https://www.mcdowellsonoran.org/donate. Your volunteer tour guide will greatly appreciate cash or contactless gratuity after the hiking tour is completed.

How much should I tip my tour guide?

Gratuity is up to the discretion of the hiker and typically ranges from $20-$100 per hiker. Keep in mind that your volunteer tour guide is not getting paid a wage to complete the tour. They volunteer because they love to meet people from around the world and teach them about the Sonoran Desert.

Can we go a different day or time?

Feel free to call our office to see if any tour guides are available and willing to volunteer to go on a different day or time. Since we give priority to our Jeep tours, there is no guarantee that we can arrange to go a different day or time.
