Sunset Desert Jeep Tours
Come see why our sunset desert Jeep tours have been ranked as Scottsdale’s 2019-2020 #1 TripAdvisor outdoor activity. Experience the beautiful and saturated Arizona sunsets while trekking through rigorous and scenic Sonoran desert trails that you otherwise would not be able to reach on your own. At sunset, we will stop at our panoramic lookout point that overlooks the historic Great Western Trail. As the sun sets, the sky changes to various shades of pink, red, orange, and purple, all with the backdrop of the stunning Sonoran desert. Not only do you get to explore the serene desert, but you also get a chance to learn about the unique ecosystem and the biodiversity found in our unique climate. If you would like to reserve the entire Jeep to your group only, book our private Jeep tour option.

What to Wear
We recommend wearing comfortable outdoor clothing that will show up well in your photographs (there will be plenty!). Closed-toe shoes are required for when we venture out on foot at our designated stopping points. During the fall and winter months be sure to bring a jacket. Temperatures in the desert can drop significantly even when it’s comfortable during the daytime.
Off-Road Jeep Adventures is a special recreation permit-holder through the U.S. Department of Agriculture: Cave Creek Ranger District and the U.S. Department of the Interior: Bureau of Land Management. We will be located northwest of Rio Verde, northeast of Scottsdale, west of the Verde River, and southeast of Cave Creek.
Note: From the months of September to April, the Jeep doors and tops will be off for open-air excursions. If you prefer to have the doors and tops on during your excursion, please let us know in advance.
Health restrictions: Off-road Jeep tours are rough, bumpy rides through rigorous terrain. Our off-road Jeep tours are not suitable for guests with back problems, neck problems, motion sickness, pregnancy, major medical conditions, or any other health condition that can be aggravated by a bumpy ride through rough terrain.
